la la la gifts...shopping
I love to shop. Except when I am pressured to do so (christmas time). So, I haven't done crap for shopping this year. Fortunately, the list is small because we're just buying gifts for close family members - and even then, some of us have decided not to exchange gifts. No christmas cards will be sent, either.
Jeff (non-blogging husband's bro), non-blogging husband and I are buying a DVD Player and set of DVD's for the mamacita. Grandma doesn't want anything so we're going to send her a gift certificate to a restaurant. She has basically decided there is no need for her to collect things at her age. So something that she can just use right away and not clutter up her house is just fine with her. No idea what to get Jeff or non-blogging husband's father. Probably gift certs to amazon. We're visiting my family in L.A. and the familiy has decided that we won't exchange gifts (our coming out for the holidays is enough) except that Kathryn (my retarded fos-sis) will get gifts, of course. So we'll probably get something from toys 'r us to take with us on the plane. And that's it. Now, I have found out that my fam in L.A. has bought "stupid, cute, little things" to open on xmas, so now we feel we have to do same....which is ok, I guess, because then people have stuff to open xmas morning. Which is always nice.
The non-blogging husband and I will exchange gifts before we head out to L.A. No sense in carting that stuff out there. For me, I'm just tickled that I get to see my family this year. That's the best gift of all.
