flooding, mudslides and thyroid medicine, oh my!
Since we arrived in Los Angeles there has been flooding and mudslides. Some unfortunate deaths. Nobody we know. Anyway, it rained all day long on christmas day. Which was fine since we stayed in and played games (killer bunnies), talked and hung out. Must buy killer bunnies. Just as random as Fluxx.
However, the day after christmas and today has been absolutely *georgous* with blue skies and about 65 degree weather. We went to the Huntington Museum today and walked through all the gardens. It was cool. And then we went and had a late lunch at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. Damn that was some good fried chicken and waffles. There was a KFC next door. Amusing.
Now about that thyroid medicine comment. Well, apparantly, dad uses two spoons to crush pandora's (the cat) thyroid medicine and then mixes it with turkey baby food and feeds it to the cat. My parents also have their electric tea kettle next to where they place the spoons they use to crush the medicine. I did not know this when I made my cup of tea and used one of the spoons to stir in sugar. I thought the spoons were set aside so people could re-use them for tea. Oh well, at least I found out after the first mug instead of 20 mugs later....hope my thyroid doesn't mind.
