Bond, the other white meat
What good is it to have technology that allows me to put a picture of daniel craig as james bond in a tight swimsuit as my desktop background when I have all these application windows covering it?

Clue-ments:
That depends on where you put the most frequently used applications that you have to "double click" on.

Sorry for the double posting - I am having browser issues

mess - no problem with the double post. my problem is that on my home computer I have either safari or email open and full screen therefore completely covering daniel craig. Just not good. I should minimize the apps more often....or at least minimize when I step away from my laptop....

Microsoft's new OS, Vista, lets you have TRANSLUCENT windows so you can see right through to Mr. Craig's loverliness. Revolutionary progress, I tell you!

I guess Mr. Jobs' next job is to not only have aspects of the user interface translucent but also parts of a picture..., nah, it'll never work... ;-)

You could always tap F11 and Exposé will give you a hit of Mr. Craig!

Poz - That's pretty cool. Unfortunately, the only machine I dare to put this picture on is my mac at home and until I buy a macbook (soon!) windows isn't an option.....

Thoranin - Dude, if anyone can do it, it's Job's....haha....super man xray vision on the Mac. Suh-weet.

Scott - That's the best option!!!!

To make clear: I would never suggest Vista to anyone. I amused myself with the idea that the killer-feature of Vista may be the ability to see your wallpaper through your apps.

If you want to use the Aero stuff, I believe you need at least 128MB of video memory.
With 128MB RAM W9x was quite happy and it was (just) enough to run W2K (provided your start-up list and config was lean).
With Aero being one of the "killer features", it'll probably also be the "interest killer" for many when they find out their relatively recent hardware can't cut it...

Poz - No problem. I doubt I'll even bother with the ability to use windows on my mac machine. And if I do, it'll be XP. I wouldn't touch Vista for at least a year or two or three or never.....
