sometimes you get the space madness
"The documents, obtained this week by The Associated Press, say the astronaut's crewmates should bind his wrists and ankles with duct tape, tie him down with a bungee cord and inject him with tranquilizers if necessary."

Clue-ments:
Yes, but as we have seen in the past, this doesn't prevent the real danger of aliens from bursting out of the astronaut's chest.

hp - so true. duct tape would be completely useless in that situation.

The fun part is trying to restrain him/her so that you can apply said duct tape, 'cuz folks bounce around cabins REALLY WELL in zero-G!!!
(Things get even more interesting when an on-board physician or another member of the crew has to perform CPR on an astronaut. Just think about it for awhile and you'll start to see the myriad difficulties. Then think about it some more and it'll give you a few headaches. We wrestled with that for awhile when I worked on Station.)

You know, this is exactly what they did to Rockhound in Armageddon.
That movie was great (and realistic)!

Iwan - You had to bring that movie into this somehow. Curse you.
