prep work
Yup, that went well. Two weekends ago, nbh and I bought a sectional couch. It should be here around the beginning of April. As such, we need to do something with the couch and futon (the big chair will remain in the room). We decided to move the couch into the office and give away our futon (it's now 13 years old, there are some broken pieces in the seat portion that could be fixed maybe not sure...well, it's not something we would sell - anyone want it?). But in order to put the couch in the office some serious cleaning needed to be done. Serious. Like there were stacks of books and crap and such all over the place. So we cleaned it out this weekend - didn't take long, Saturday morning/afternoon. Moved the dining room table over against one wall, put things for donation, garage sale (craigslist), and give away in there. Recycling in the bins/paper bags. Trash in the trash bags. Picked up a few storage containers. And voila! An organized office. For the most part. At this point the only thing left is for us to organize is our desktops. The room looks great and then you look over at our desks and it's a little area of mess (only on top of them, anything that might have been on the floor under or near is gone). But that's okay, cause that can be done this weekend. It feels good and once we have the office finished we'll be tackling the back storage room which really just needs a few things picked up and some storage shelves where we can move the stuff from the dining room to in preparation for selling/giveaway. Once that is done, we'll (nbh doesn't know this yet) tackle the rest of the rooms which will take a shorter amount of time and effort as they aren't as bad as the office.

Great job!
When you're done at home, I've got an office that needs sorting out... ;-)

Thoranin - Yeah, cause that's how I'd want to spend vacation time in Iceland! ;-)
