tb? wtf?

So, why isn't anyone screaming about border security when a man infected with a drug resistent form of TB manages to, in his own words, "sneak into the country via Canada"? And he was placed on the no-fly list after the TB was confirmed.

Yikes.

Clue-ments:

Hal's response: "So much for that 'No Fly List,' huh?"

It's totally too perfect that the guy is a lawyer, thought. I've worked for attorneys who think they're too important for the rules to apply to them...

Ulrika - Did you see that there's a border patrol person who is now on administrative leave while an investigation opens because they let him through even though he appeared on the list?!

Yeah, the one time I worked at a law office as a temp I was stunned by how much they tried to get away with things.

People are worried about the TB. I think the bigger picture is that this goes to show you that no system is perfect so letting the government scare you into believing you're going to be completely safe is a lie.

What I heard today on the border patrol person was that they saw the guy was on the list, looked at him, decided he didn't look sick, and let him through. There's a confidence builder for you, eh?
