Looks like salon.com sets a cookie when you go to its main page, and links to any sub-pages only work after that cookie is set. That's pretty f***ing weak. "We don't want anyone to be able to link to our site". Retards.

Even though the link doesn't work, it does give a clue (opus, August 5). But I agree, it's not good practice...
Is it the "What's the centre of it all?" one from Aug-4? Before you start, "centre" is not a typographical error! ;-)
