getting a second tattoo

I'm scheduled to get a second tattoo Sunday, Dec. 2. I'm very excited. I've shown a few people what I'm getting, but no more. I'll post an actual picture of it once it's healed. You're a true fan if you recognize what it is without me telling you.....

And I'm planning on a third already. I've asked mom to draw me something. We're consulting during xmas.

See, for the longest time after I got the Opus tattoo I thought that I couldn't get any more (even though I found it addictive) because I thought I was having a reaction to the ink. Turns out, I'm allergic to the bacitracin that I used to heal it. About a year ago, I got a mole removed, used bacitracin and sure enough had the same reaction and the doc was like, "you're allergic". *blink* Hey...waitasecond...that means I can....GET ANOTHER TATTOO!! But then I couldn't think of anything I wanted. Until now.

Hehehe.

Jenn,
Have you tried Tattoo Goo? My cousin (the tattoo artist that's done both of mine) swears by it. He doesn't like the antibiotic ointments.

I should have offered to set you up with David to get yours done over Thanksgiving - he just opened his own shop this summer.

Dawn - No, never tried the goo. Can I get it at a regular store or something? ooo....I could have had the tattoo earlier?! :-)

Tattoo Goo doesn't sell to regular folk, just retailers, so some tattoo shops carry it and some don't. You can buy it at Amazon.com. I'd suggest sticking with the original in the tin rather than all their specialty products. You can check it out here http://www.tattoogoo.com
to make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients, but the original is pretty natural.

And although I haven't asked David was his schedule is for next week, it's pretty likely you could have gotten your tattoo earlier. ;)
