thanksgiving fallout
I ate a lot of food last week. Is it possible to pull a muscle in your stomach? hehe.
We had a great time in Ohio over Thanksgiving week. It was a much needed vacation and time away from work for both of us.
Nbh has four uncles and three of them live within a 20 mile radius of his mother. The fourth one flew in from Korea (and his daughter flew in from Alaska). It was quite a family get together.
Random notes:
* Nbh’s cousin is on a roller derby team. Her name is “Suicide Blonde”. Did you know that you have to register your name and it’s international? I didn’t. We then speculated as to what our names would be…never did figure out one for me. Apparently there is a “Jenna Jammerson” on the list. *snort* FYI – Jammer is a “position” on a roller derby team.
* Nbh’s grandma made enough pies at Thanksgiving that everyone could have half a pie. Half a pie, people. Needless to say, nobody ate THAT much (although it felt like we did).
* We met up with our friends Mikey and Dawn for dinner Tuesday at the Great Lakes Brewing Company. Fun time was had. A few days later (Saturday) they welcomed the birth of their baby boy, Aidan, two months early (Congrats!). Wow!
* I got a cold Wednesday which hung around until Saturday. Bleah. I didn’t let that stop us from driving halfway between Ann Arbor, MI and Atwater, OH to meet up with my old friend Fritz. If you ever make it to Fremont, OH, go to Whitey’s Diner. OMG. Great diner food. Met Fritz’s daughter Merideth also and she’s just like her dad.
* No internet for a whole week except Nbh's iPhone. Gah. I survived. Barely.
All and all a great trip. Next stop: xmas in L.A.

Clue-ments:
And a mighty fine time and jabberfest was had by all, although Merideth got a bit bored, but who can blame her. She wasn't even born for the vast majority of the events being reminisced about.
