what 80's movie scientist are you?
Your Score: Jordan Cochran
139 Heart, 132 Genius, 169 Cool, 151 Excitability

Jordan Cochran - (Michelle Meyrink)
Real Genius (1985)
You're Jordan Cochran, the adorable fast-talking GIRL scientist of all things. While she may not be up there with the other super-geniuses of the '80s, her awesome mechanical aptitude and geek-girl cuteness have made her the sweetheart of nerds for over 20 years.
"I never sleep, I don't know why. I had a roommate and I drove her nuts, I mean really nuts, they had to take her away in an ambulance and everything. But she's okay now, but she had to transfer to an easier school, but I don't know if that had anything to do with being my fault. But listen, if you ever need to talk or you need help studying just let me know, 'cause I'm just a couple doors down from you guys and I never sleep, okay?"

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989)
You are Wayne Szalinkski! You're the prototypical bumbling inventor, updated for the 1980s! You may panic from time to time, but you can always be counted on in the end. You love your kids, you love your wife, and you love science. What else do you need?
"No, if the machine had blown up the kids, there'd be pieces of them everywhere..."

Egon Spengler
Doc Brown
Newton Crosby
Paul Stephens

Paul Stephens - (Christopher Collet)
The Manhattan Project (1986)
You are Paul Stephens! You're smart enough to build an atomic bomb for a science project, but not smart enough to realize that might not be a good idea. But unlike nearly every other teenage 80s scientist, you actually have a girlfriend, so that excuses a lot.
"Paul, did you build an atomic bomb?"
"Only a little one."

OK, Chris Knight (Val Kilmer) though I always thought of myself of more like a Buckaroo Banzai type.
Susan: Can you hammer a six-inch spike through a board with your penis?
Chris Knight: Not right now.
But if I was Buckaroo:
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't be mean. We don't have to be mean because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are."

mess - "but not smart enough to realize that might not be a good idea". You've got them fooled. Oh you're smart enough to realize that it might not be a good idea, it's just that wouldn't STOP you from doing it. :-)

nbh - what kids? ;-)

Iwan - Either one of those are my two favorite scientists from the 80's. Don't worry, they're both hawt, so it's not like you lost by not getting buckaroo banzai.
"Give her your jacket?" "Why?" "Because you're perfect."
"What is this?" "Buckaroo, it's your hand."

Will someone please bring these movies to New Year's.
Could be a real fun afternoon and evening of -- drinking?

Iwan - good news. We own both. We'll bring 'em.

cf,
In the process of building the device, there might, at some point, be a passing though that, perhaps, this is not a great idea. However, the thought would be, at best, fleeting.
Now back to the lab...
