this is what i hate
When someone wants to talk to me about our working relationship (there's friction between me and a co-worker right now) and they start off with, "You and I are a lot alike...." that f*king irritates me.
I can buy into the concept that if there's butting of heads it can be that we're too much alike. But I also believe that it can be because we're nothing alike. Regardless, to me, it's an issue by issue basis and I hate this particular generalization. I don't find it useful. It doesn't matter if we're too much alike or not. Give me examples of what I'm doing you don't like. That's what you're trying to convey to me anyway. If you want me to be responsive to you, don't try this approach.
Oh, and I especially hate this approach when I don't even like you.
