ironman
Oh yeah.
The movie rocked. Go see it.
And a well-built Robert Downey, Jr. playing a smart-ass, intelligent, confident engineer is hawt.
Is that a schematic in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Clue-ments:
Just a (re-)wiring diagram.
I'm taking Merideth to see it this Tuesday for her b-day (dinner and a movie). She chose Ironman over Speedracer. (I'm still interested in seeing Speedracer, but just for its special effects... :-)

Fritz - I like Meridith. :-) Speed Racer is a curiosity for me. I never liked the tv show, I don't trust the Wachowski bros after the matrix II and III stinkeroos, but it looks beautifully filmed and I'm willing to go check it out for that. But I have no expectations it's good.

I'm not sure Speed Racer is filmed at all, actually. I think it's a live-action cartoon.

Poz - Cute. My understanding is that it was filmed in high def and apparently they are using a new "method" (not sure what it's called or how it works) of filming that makes it look anime because _everything_ on the screen is in focus. So, yeah, "live-action cartoon".

CF - I'm going to try and see Speed Racer this weekend, so I'll give you a mini-review when I do...

CF - "Speed Racer" mini-review. If you overlook the simplistic plot, trite clichés, and the not infrequent wooden acting, it was a visually spectacular. Eyeball laceratingly spectacular. Don't go see it if you can be visually moved to vomit. Do go see it if you want to see the closest thing to a live-action cartoon (yet).
- Fritz.

Fritz - I get motion sickness in movies and on certain rides. That's why I've never seen Blair Witch or the recent Cloverfield. I wonder if I could watch Speed Racer on the tv as a rental and not puke. Thanks for the heads up.
