I don't get it either.

Kristin - each time i've tuned in there have been some funny bits but then betty appears and she's all made up to be "ugly" and I get uncomfortable because american ferrera (sp?) is not an ugly woman. and betty also is awkward and not very interesting. and then this last one i tried to watch her boyfriend has this amazing body but they've slicked back his hair, put on glasses (glasses make people ugly, dontcha know) and geeky clothing as though to uglify him but then he lifted his arms up and his stomach showed and he's RIPPED. i gave up. i should also note i've never managed to watch an episode to the end.

It was better in previous years. I think the writers got writers-block this year. It used to be great because Ugly Betty was a sincere, down-to-earth girl making her way (successfully!) in the phony, uppity world of fashion. She brought love and friendship to those jaded hard-hearted fashionistas. It was fun to watch that sweetness come into peoples lives.
