Boooring. Stupid. Confusing. Should have left the franchise as is. This movie did not need to be made. And what the hell was up with the aliens?
And don't bother telling me I must have gone in with high expectations or all geeks are disappointed by this film (turns out, they aren't), etc. Even though it has a high rottentomato score I was still _very_ skeptical because star wars episodes I-III have fresh ratings so you can't always rely on the tomato-meter. And I was worried they'd try to constantly do cute tie-ins to the previous movies. Oh, look, they did. Ad nauseum. Not cute.

enjoying the weather
We have within a two mile radius two homemade ice cream places that are only open during summer. They're both very, very good. When I'm in the mood for birthday cake, we go to the farm stand. When I'm in the mood for Oreo cookie, we go to Park St. It was the latter that had me observe whilst we were eating Oreo cookie ice cream:
Me: "I've got it!"
Nbh: "What?"
Me: "The four seasons are fall, winter, spring and my favorite, Park St.!"

most awesomest shirt ever
I have a magic shirt. It's a new blouse I bought to wear to work. The pattern contains various shades of red, black and gray. It hid the chili I spilled on it from lunch and the ketchup spilled at dinner VERY well. It was like it never happened. Except for a slight odor. But that's easy, just don't get too close.

it's not ok
You know when you swipe your card through the little machine and it says, "Your charge is $34.50, ok?" and you have to press "Yes" or "No"? What if it's not ok? What if I don't like having to pay for stuff? Why do they ask me if it's ok to spend money when I would rather prefer to get things for free?

god hates cats
" I first noticed them when they pounced out of hell 5,000 years ago and seized control of Egypt. Once in power, they immediately set about enslaving My Jews, forcing them to build the stupid worthless Pyramids." Brought to you by a blog called "Stuff God Hates".

surgery
Yeah, so I'm going to have a laparoscopic hysterectomy.
It appears that the problems I've been having over the past six months are because I have fibroids and polyps in my uterus. Go figure. As a bonus, I also have what's called a "complex cyst" on my left ovary making my ovary the size of an orange. A complex cyst is a cyst with multiple cysts inside. It will NOT resolve itself like normal cysts. So the thing will just keep growing and growing.
So they're going to remove the left ovary and uterus (keep the cervix). Probably won't happen until end of June/early July (may not go to Twin Trees....). The good news is that it's considered outpatient and I only have to be out of work for 1.5 weeks.

site maintenance
I really need to take a moment and assess the current state of technology running cluefairy.com. I came across a new commenting system, disqus, and I want to use it because on their "learn more" pages they use Firefly as examples. *snort* But seriously, I think I may need to move away from movable type or at least upgrade. Now I just have to find the time.....

negative attitude
While at the gym this evening I had a negative thought that if Barack becomes president, something will happen during his administration that will make it so that he's only in office for four years and that in 2012 we'll be back to: old, white males running for president. We're all talking about how historical this race is due to the gender and ethnicity of the two democratic nominees. Yet this will be forgotten come 2012. Bleah.

ironman
Oh yeah.
The movie rocked. Go see it.
And a well-built Robert Downey, Jr. playing a smart-ass, intelligent, confident engineer is hawt.
Is that a schematic in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
